MS MARINA
VALENCIA
DAY 14
5:26 PM
We made it to downtown Valencia. I was the official interpreter for our group.
The taxi driver showed us around a bit.
And I was even able to ask directions to a Starbucks. Sounds lame but my frappuccino made my day!!! Lol
We made it back in time to host tea time. I'm gonna go warm up for rehearsal. Then tech rehearsal. And show tonight.
11:21 PM
Going downtown was the most "fun" I had in a couple of weeks and we didn't even do anything special just walked in the city for an hour...
It was just nice to be able to get out.
Plus Valencia is nice
Let me show you some pics.
So Valencia has this huge complex that has a sport venue, the opera house, the science museum, a 3D movie theater, a botanical garden etc
That's one of those... (The opera I think)
And it was sunny and warm (75 degrees)
Tea time was fine. Greeting people with my biggest smile for like 45min and showing them the way to the lounge ...
I don't mind doing that.
My Spanish impressed everybody today. I started saying I didn't really speak Spanish.
But ended up being the one speaking to the taxi drivers, giving directions etc
Translating to the rest of the group what the guy was saying when he was showing us around...
I actually impressed myself.
The goal is to be even more comfortable by the time I get to South America
I'm gonna study a bit on my own and then I'll try and speak with some of the crew as there are a lot of guys from Honduras onboard.
