Today I want to share with you some of the pictures my insanely talented friend Bobby Rivera shot in New York City the last time I visited. At the time, Motionated was still under construction, and Bobby was working very hard to build this platform so that we would have a place to showcase "cool projects we wanted to make with cool people".
That shoot is a perfect example. On a late summer day, we met in the Meatpacking district with gifted performer Jared Grimes. From tap and hip-hop/street jazz to singing and choreographing, this multi-talented artist has more than one arrow in his quiver.
Our goal that day was to capture the encounter of dance and fashion in a place where you would not usually find either one or the other.
Mission accomplished! We all had lots of fun.
In today's photos, Jared is wearing jackets by Versace and Theory and my dress is a Viktor & Rolf creation.
